Woman, ex-husband killed in Manvel shoot-out
A woman and her ex-husband died and another man was wounded in an apparent shoot-out at a Manvel home last weekend, authorities said. The shooting occurred in the 10800 block of Leslie Lane about 4 a.m. Saturday, according to the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office. Karla Boone, 70, and Stanley Boone, 63, were pronounced dead at the scene. They each had been shot more than once.

Man dies in wreck on Rampart in SW Houston
Police are investigating a crash that left one man dead early this morning in southwest Houston. The single-car wreck occurred in the 6300 block of Rampart near Highstar about 2:20 a.m., police said. The victim, a 23-year-old Hispanic man, died at the scene. His name has not been released. No other injuries were reported.

Man shot, wounded at Motel 6 on Katy Freeway
A man was wounded in a shooting at a motel in west Harris County early this morning. The shooting occurred at a Motel 6 on Mason at the Katy Freeway about 2 a.m., according the Harris County Sheriff's Office. The man, whose name has not been released, was rushed by LifeFlight medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann-The Texas Medical Center. His condition was not released.

Man stabbed to death at apartment complex in SW Houston
Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of man at an apartment complex in southwest Houston early this morning. The stabbing occurred in the 6100 block of Bellaire near Rampart at about 3:30 a.m., police said. Police the man, whose name has not been released, was found lying in a common area of the complex. He had been stabbed at least once and was pronounced dead at the scene.
